THE Formosa Cafe

In 2017 the Formosa Café, one of LA’s most iconic barS, sat languished and forgotten. The Formosa was purchased by The 1933 Group with the goal of restoring the 82 year old bar to its former glory. After 2 years of extensive restorations, the iconic landmark is now back on the map of Los Angeles.

the restoration of this iconic landmark has been documentED with film and photography since the project started in 2017. Multiple cameras were installed, maintained and updated on a daily basis for THE two year restoration period.

Competent with all aspects of production; organization, location scouting, time-lapse set up and edit. Daily and long term capture with Canon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic, Hasselblad, RED, Blackmagic, GoPro and iPhone cameras.
